Class Description: This class is an introduction to the wonderfully versatile world of bone carving. We will cover safety, preparation, sourcing your raw material, and then get down to the nitty gritty of making our own piece in class. Working in 3 dimensions, we will map out our designs, explore levels and layering to create depth and richness, and then round it all out with finishing and polishing. This is a class to learn new skills and hone existing ones, so bring a sense of humor with you and be prepared to get dusty!
