Class Description: In this workshop students will use several weaving and other wire techniques as well as easy soldering and metal skills to create this intricate bail for a donut shaped bead.
Students will learn tricks to form the large gauge wires into smooth bends and loops to fit within a small frame as well as ways to weave these wires in and out to create the interlocking wire design. Students will use templates to aid with symmetry.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Pre-requisite: Should be very comfortable working with wire.
Materials Kit (included in price): Color step-by-step instructions including templates, fine silver wire, sterling silver wire, gallery wire bezel cup, choice of a 8mm cabochon and 50mm donut bead, bobbins, dowel. Domestic US shipping.**
- Wire cutters (preferrably flush)
- Flat nose pliers
- Flat-nose nylon jaw pliers
- Chain-nose pliers
- Bezel pusher or curved burnisher
- Needle tool
- Permanent marker
- Liver of sulfur
- Steel wool #0000
- Half round needle file
- Brass Brush or toothbrush
- Painters masking tape
- Magnifiers, recommended
- Torch and soldering supplies (easy or medium solder) (Note: Soldering is a minor part of the design. Let Kaska know if you would prefer not to use the torch and I will do the soldering part for you).
