Class Description: Learn how to take flat metal clay to the next level by creating hollow forms with no support inside. Lentils are generally two-sided, and can be embellished with bezel-set gemstones, embeddables, cutouts, and layered designs. Finishing and firing discussions will be a part of the class.

Instructor: Ed & Martha Biggar

Skill Level: Intermediate

Materials Kit (included in price): Silver bezel cups, selection of cabochons, texture plate, embeddables, domestic shipping. Domestic US shipping.**

Required Tools:  

  • Silver metal clay, at least 15 grams
  • Metal clay tool kit: roller, work surface, knife or needle tool, brush, thickness gauges, sanding pads, olive oil, water, drying forms, dehydrator or drying implement, kiln, kiln shelf (torch firing is not acceptable for lentils)

*Note: Kit only and extra kit options do not include instructions or recording. You must choose either a Zoom or Zoom/Kit combo to receive written instructions. Kits will begin to ship March 30, 2021, unless otherwise arranged with instructor.
