Class Description: We’re all taught to “sign our work” in school, but do you know the rules about signing your jewelry? Are you required to? Do you know how you are allowed to sign? If you sell your pieces to a buyer in another country, are you doing so legally and in compliance with that country’s hallmarking/assay rules?
Students will gain an understanding of the general U.S. hallmarking rules, differences from U.K. (and some member states) rules and proper steps for compliant practices. Students will have the opportunity to participate in discussion and ask questions.
