Date: Friday, Oct 21, 2022, 1:30pm - 4:30pm (CDT)
Instructor: Stephanie Chavez & Kieu Pham Gray
Skill Level: Confident Beginner Project Video
Class Description: In this workshop you will learn how to create a pendant with an encased enamel cabochon! You read that right, the enameled piece is actually part of the metal clay. The simplicity of this project may deceive you…you will learn how to accurately account for the shrinkage of metal clay and design the pendant around the size of your enameled disk. You will then learn how to correctly co-fire the pieces together and what factors to take into consideration when firing.
Students must come to class with a completed enameled disk (½” or ¾” in size). You may create one on your own or learn to create one in the Sgraffito Enamel VEC Short.
A kiln is required for this workshop. If you do not have kiln or access to kiln for firing I’m happy to fire at no additional charge, you just mail the piece to me. Please message me directly about firing.
