Class Description: Working with metal clay sheet can be quite a challenge! In this class you will discover how to manipulate strips of this material to create a beautiful woven panel, (several weaving patterns will be discussed) and then learn how to combine the panel with a base of metal clay to create a sturdy yet intricate pendant of any shape.
Project Completion: students will have enough time to finish during live class.
Materials Kit: PMC sheet, Art clay silver, toothpicks.

Required Tools:
- Basic metal clay set up: clay roller, non-stick work surface, 10 playing cards or depth measuring slats, scalpel or Xacto knife, sanding sponges, straight salon boards (nail file) of different grits, cup of water, release agent (cool slip, olive oil), piece of saran wrap/cling film, Brass brush, flat working surface (ex: glazed ceramic tile, teflon sheet).
- Drying set-up such as a mug warmer, food dehydrator or kitchen oven
- Scissors
- Torch firing set up: butane torch, solder block (or the like), fire tweezers, quench bowl.
- Polishing and finishing tools (patina, steel wool, brass brush or flex shaft/rotary tools)
- Either Art Clay Silver Syringe (preferable) or a small amount of thick paste
- Self-healing cutting mat
- Two cookie cutters of desired shape(s), one 25% smaller than the other allowing for a 4mm space between the two. Largest cookie cutter no larger than 2x2".
