Class Description: Discover how to set your favorite OMG gemstones into a contemporary ring design that’s sure to “Make a Statement”. Using square and half-round wires, students will learn how to formulate and finish this beauty so it fits every time. Class discussions will include: choosing the right stone for the right ring style and finger size; how to use ring sizers and mandrels that do not match; pricing your work for profit and more.
Project Completion: students will have enough time to finish project during live class.
Materials Kit: .925 sterling silver wire and a large faceted stone (your instructor will contact you with stone choices).
Tool Kit: Cougar’s Choice Brand Thumb-operated pin vise (with cushioned handle).

- Ultra-fine marking pen
- Chain nose pliers
- Round nose pliers
- Flat nose pliers
- Side cutters
- Graduated steel ring mandrel
- Ring sizer
- Rawhide mallet or Nylon mallet
- 12" ruler
- Thin blue painter's tape or facsimile;
- Polishing cloth or old t-shirt
