Instructor: Dale Cougar Armstrong

Skill Level: Intermediate

Class Description: Students will learn to formulate this pattern to be able to frame almost any item into a pendant, such as a coin, irregular cabochon, small druzy plate, a piece of china or pottery, etc. Techniques taught include how to choose the necessary gauges, tempers, and lengths of wire for an item you want to frame; different styles of embellishment; bail techniques, what to do with all of those wires at the end, and more. (This is a great class for the lapidary who would like to set their own stones using cold connections.) If you are unaccustomed with working with square half-hard wire, please watch the VEC Short, “Square Wire Jewelry Basics”.

Project Completion: students will have enough time to finish project during live class.
