Class Description: This is a great class for you if you are brand new to silversmithing or want to add a unique project to your jewelry repertoire. In this workshop students will gain experience in basic fabrication including piercing, sawing , shaping and soldering. The finished earrings are sure to gain attention.
Project Completion: students will have enough time to finish during live class.
Materials Kit: sterling silver stock.

Required Tools:
- Sharpie
- Chain nose pliers
- Round nose pliers
- Flat nose pliers
- Side cutters
- Scratch brush
- Metal ruler 6” (indicate if larger is needed)
- Flex shaft
- Flex shaft bits:
- HSS drill bit (1mm)
- Sanding discs and mandrel
- Center punch
- Solder pick
- Bench block
- Rawhide mallet or Nylon mallet
- Jewelers’ saw
- Saw blades (2/o)
- Cut lube or Bee’s wax
- Bench pin
- Patina (Liver of sulfur)
- Basic soldering set up: butane torch, butane, solder board or the like, tripod with mesh, pickle, fire tweezers, quench bowl, flux, copper tongs, silver solder: Hard, Med. Easy.
