Julie Sanford has been creating and exhibiting artisan jewelry for over 30 years. Her education includes jewelry classes at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, a degree in Education from Western Michigan University and studies at Kendal College of Art and Design, The Chicago Institute of Arts at Oxbow and the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco. Her career path includes 15 years in fine jewelry retail and 5 years as a K-12 visual art instructor. Julie has been offering jewelry classes, workshops, and presentations at conferences, universities, craft centers and private studios since 1998. Combining her love of art, jewelry and education, she is now the director of Studio JSD, metalsmithing workshop and gallery in Grand Haven, Michigan.
