Date: Saturday, Oct 18, 2025, 6-9pm (CST)
Instructor: Pat Evans
Skill Level: Confident Beginner
Class Description: Turn your cherished memories into a wearable work of art in this imaginative metal clay class! You'll craft a miniature silver book pendant featuring personalized pages. The class will cover all the essential metal clay techniques you need to create decorative front and back covers with a hinge-style closure. You'll then learn how to craft a beautiful spiral binding from hand-coiled silver wire, which you'll use to assemble your mini collage pages. These pages can be personalized with tiny photos, mementos, or words of your choice on mica sheets. You'll also have the option to add elegant gold accents to your cover using a plating pen.
To ensure you can complete your project within the three-hour class, you will need to prepare your page art ahead of time. I will email you a template and some creative ideas to help you get started on this unique project.
Project Completion: Students who work quickly will have enough time to finish the project during the class time.
Torch: Instructor will be demonstrating using a Max Flame butane torch, however, any butane torch will work.
