Date: Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025, 9-4pm (CST) (1 hour lunch break)
Instructor: Asia Raine
Skill Level: Intermediate
Class Description: In this online class, students will create Cascade, a unique talisman necklace made from five distinct, handcrafted silver components. Each piece—a bezel-set faceted stone, a caged Swarovski crystal, a prong-set crystal, a capped crystal column, and a crystal bead drop—showcases a different silversmithing skill and stone-setting technique. Students will learn to fabricate each component from scratch using sterling silver, covering essential techniques like soldering, filing, and finishing. By the end of the course, participants will not only have a completed, symbolic piece of wearable art but also the confidence to apply these mixed-setting skills to their own future designs.
Torch: Instructor will be demonstrating using an acetylene torch, however, any jewelers' torch except a MicroTorch will work.
Project Completion: Students who work quickly will have enough time to finish the project during the class.
Materials Kit: Enough material for 5 pendants (sterling silver stock, semi-precious stones, Swarovski crystals.) Please indicate cabochon choice, if none is selected, one will be chosen for you. Additional stones and beads will be chosen by the instructor to compliment your choice of cabochon.
Domestic US shipping included. (Please contact instructor directly to arrange for international or expedited shipping fees.)
(Materials kit is included in price when "Zoom/Kit combo" or "Kit only" option is selected.*)
