Pre-requisite: VEC SHORT – Intro to Bead Embroidery is recommended.
Class Description: The Moss Garden project is a tutorial for a variety of bead embroidery techniques. Several different stitches and variations of those stitches will be demonstrated. Stitches included are: back stitch, moss stitch, stack stitch, clusters, one bead stitch and stop stitch. The written tutorial has illustrated step by step instructions of each of the stitches used in the project.
The finished project is 3x5 inches (76x127 mm) and is suitable for framing.
Project Completion: Students will have a good start to the project and enough information to finish on their own.
Materials Kit: Foundation, seed beads, hex beads, drops, dagger beads, leaf beads, druks, bugle beads.

Required Tools and Supplies:
- Scissors
- Bead mat
- Beading needles, size 10 or 11
- Beading thread, such as One-g or Fireline 6lb
- Magnifiers/reading glasses (as needed)
- Task light (as needed)
