Instructor: Pat Evans

Skill Level: Confident Beginner

Pre-requisite: Student should be proficient with soldring silver.

Class Description: Tell your own sea story with this fine silver metal clay Mermaid’s Tale pendant.  For embellishment, you’ll choose between setting a pearl in metal clay or adding a treasure trove of flush set cz’s, and you’ll get to see both processes in action. Pat will show you how to torch fire your silver. Then finish by adding vibrant color with a choice of iridescent paua shell inlay coated with a layer of protective resin.

Torch: Instructor will be demonstrating using a butane torch, however, an electric programmable kiln will also work.

Project Completion: Students who work quickly will have enough time to finish the project during class time.
