Instructor: Storm Rise

Skill Level: Intermediate

Pre-requisite: Student must be comfortable with a handheld butane torch and all of the standard jewellers tools. They will also need access to a flex-shaft or micro motor of some sort.

Class Description: Contemporary style Jewellery, with its clean lines and crisp structures, lends itself perfectly to multi-purpose jewellery design.
In this class, we will not only be designing and making a multipurpose Brooch/ Pendant, but looking at some non-traditional setting techniques such as invisible rivets and using non-re-entrant shapes to anchor our wood, rather than the traditional bezel, prongs or glue.

Torch: Instructor will be demonstrating using a butane torch however, any jeweler's torch will work except MicroTorch.

Project Completion: Students will have enough time to finish the project during the class.

Materials Kit: Enough material for one pendant (sterling silver stock). NOTE: Student must source their own wood blank
