Instructor: Kelly Six
Skill Level: Confident Beginner
Class Description: Ever get the feeling that firing schedules are like some secret code "Real Glass Artists" understand? It's like they speak a magical language that we just can't grasp. All I want to do is to melt glass! Maybe I'm not alone in feeling this way.
But nailing the right firing schedule means making art that's consistent and awesome. It gives you control to play around with different glass movements. And once you understand why and when to tweak a schedule, you'll be more confident in your project results.
In this class, we'll decode firing schedules—what those weird graphs and numbers mean and why they matter. I'll help you create a foolproof system to predict how YOUR kiln will affect glass at different temps. Grab pen and paper for now—later, you'll use your own glass for homework.
Project Completion: Attend, watch and learn.
