Class Description: Class Description:Experience the magic of anodizing niobium. Watch Marti cut out a shape and brutally hammer it. Then the hammered parts will magically become beautiful by adding anodized color. The color is chosen by a combination of the voltage of the electric current used and Marti's signature "painting with sanding pad" technique. No Anodizer? A low tech, affordable method of anodizing with 9-volt batteries will be demonstrated. You can try it before you buy an anodizer.
Materials Kit: 2 precut 1” circles, 1”x2” 26ga. niobium sheet, 6 pairs of ear wires, 3M sanding pad, cathode strip and “anodizing powder”.
