Class Description: Do you have a furry companion you want to keep close to your heart? Let me show you a wonderful way to carry them with you. In this VEC short, I'll demonstrate how to create a mold of your pet's nose boop and cast it in metal clay. These unique pieces can be transformed into pendants, magnets, ornaments or even key rings, allowing you to keep your best buddy with you.
PLEASE READ
Available Options:
1. Cast only - you will acquire your own molding compound and send the impression to me for casting, firing and finishing. Details will be provided in the class.
2. Mold and cast - I will send you the molding compound and cast, fire and finish for you. You will need to ship the impression to me.
3. No Zoom - if you are not interested in learning the process and just simply want me to make it for you, select "No Zoom" and "Mold and Cast".
4. If you only want to watch, do not select any options.
Castings will be returned 4-6weeks after receiving. Sorry, I am out of the country in May.
Project Completion: Watch and learn.
Materials Kit: Copper metal clay, molding compound.

Required Tools:
- Brass brush
- Magnifying glasses (as needed)
- Work surface
- Drying set-up such as a mug warmer, food dehydrator or kitchen oven
- Electric programmable kiln
- Carbon for firing
- Clay roller
- Olive oil
- Metal jar lid that can go into the oven.
