Pre-requisite: Familiarity with metal clay, would be helpful.
Class Description: In this workshop, you'll explore the art of metal clay to create stunning textures and shapes. Harnessing the power of the Argentium fusing process, as well as silver smithing and soldering techniques, you'll blend these skills seamlessly. This class offers a wealth of techniques, allowing you to transform them into a truly exquisite masterpiece. You will have the option to create an exquisite ring or a captivating pendant.
Project Completion: students will have time to complete the project during class time.
Materials Kit: Fine silver metal clay, argentium stock, sterling silver stock, bezel wire, semi-precious cabochon (will vary). Instructor will reach out for stone selection.

- Sharpie
- Chain nose pliers
- Round nose pliers
- Flat nose pliers
- Nylon pliers
- Metal ruler 6”
- Needle files
- Metal files
- Metal shears
- Ring Mandrel
- Bench block
- Chasing hammer
- Rawhide mallet or Nylon mallet
- Side cutters (flush)
- Brass brush
- Magnifying glasses (as needed)
- Texture mats
- Soldering set up includes: solder board, tripod with mesh, pickle, fire tweezers, quench bowl, flux, copper tongs, silver solder paste: Hard, Med. Easy
- Drying set-up such as a mug warmer, food dehydrator or kitchen oven
- Torch firing set up: butane torch, solder block (or the like), fire tweezers, quench bowl.
- Liver of sulfur
- Basic metal clay set up: roller, non stick work surface, 10 playing cards or depth measuring slats, scalpel or Xacto knife, fine paintbrush, fluffy paintbrush, fine paintbrush, sanding sponges and straight salon boards (nail file) of different grits, cup of water, release agent (cool slip, olive oil), piece of saran wrap/cling film.
