Skill Level: Intermediate
Pre-requisite: Must have previous soldering and ring making experience.
Class Description: Beware of things that look simple! It is never as easy as it seems. This sophisticated ring may have you going in circles, but I will keep you on track to get the project done.
Torch: Instructor will be demonstrating using a butane torch, however, any jewelers' torch except a MicroTorch will work.
Project Completion: Students will have enough time to finish the project during the class.
Materials Kit: Enough material for one ring (sterling silver stock, pearl).

- Sharpie
- Chain nose pliers
- Round nose pliers
- Flat nose pliers
- Nylon pliers
- Half round pliers (optional)
- Parallel pliers (optional)
- Heavy duty cutters
- Bow closing pliers (optional)
- Hollow scraper (optional)
- Brass brush (optional)
- Bench block
- Rawhide mallet or Nylon mallet
- Student files
- Needle files
- Jewelers’ saw
- Saw blades (2/o or 3/o)
- Cut lube
- Bench pin
- Magnifying glasses (as needed)
- Patina (indicate type) LOS and or Black Max
- Sand paper (indicate grit) 600/500/400
- Super grip gloves (optional)
- Steel wool
- Rotating solder station (optional)
- Solder pick
- Flex shaft with: brass bristle brush, black silicone disc, grey silicon disc, or favorite sanding and polishing bits.
- Any jeweler's torch except Microtorch.
- Soldering set up: butane, torch, solder board, tripod with mesh, pickle, fire tweezers, quench bowl, flux, copper tongs, silver solder paste, wire or chip: Hard, Med., Easy
