Instructor: Storm Rise
Skill Level: Intermediate
Pre-requisite: Student must be confident with a butane torch, and be proficient with all hand tools.
Class Description: Have you ever wanted to set a stone, but don’t want to use a bezel or prongs? This is your chance to find out how!
Cold connections and forming give us a way to set stones without resorting to traditional methods, and can lead to some really great design opportunities! It’s also a technique you can use with the bare minimum of tools.
There is scope for a lot of variety here, so come in and join the fun as we play with some Cold Connection variations in the Under the Covers Pendant!
Project Completion: students will have enough class time to finish the project.
Materials Kit: Silver stock and copper stock, cabochon. Please indicate your stone choice. If one is not selected, one will be chosen for you.
