Class Description: Straight as an arrow your imagination, fold formed lines, and well placed colors lead you to the bullseye. Hammered, sanded, and riveted disks mark the spot. And the unique properties of anodized niobium help guide you there.
No anodizer…no problem. An anodizer can be rented for a 3 week period from the instructor. ($75) As demonstrated in the VEC Anodizing Short, batteries can be also be used for this process. This option, however, provides a more limited color palette than when an anodizer is used.
Project Completion: students will have enough time to finish during live class.
Materials Kit: niobium sheet, pair of ear wires, niobium rivets, jump rings, aluminum chain, 2 watch case knives, and 3M sanding pad.
