Pre-requisite: Must have previous soldering experience.
Class Description: Step into "Fired and Forged," where you'll learn how to blend two metals to create a captivating bracelet. Explore the transformative processes using a lot of fire and forging as you meld copper and silver, crafting a bold and beautiful piece of jewelry.
Torch: Instructor will be demonstrating using a pistol style butane torch. This project requires a lot of heat, larger torches will be helpful.
Project Completion: Students will have enough time to finish the project during the class.
Materials Kit: Enough material for one bracelet (sterling silver stock, copper stock).

Required Tools:
- Sharpie
- Chain nose pliers
- Flat nose pliers
- Nylon pliers
- Side cutters
- Bent nose pliers
- 6" or larger vice
- 6" or larger steel square
- Brass brush
- Bench block
- Rawhide mallet or Nylon mallet
- Student files
- Steel bracelet mandrel
- Nylon bracelet bending pliers or bracelet bender
- Divider
- Jewelers’ saw
- Saw blades (2/o or 3/o)
- Cut lube
- Bench pin
- Magnifying glasses (as needed)
- Patina (indicate type) LOS and or Black Max
- Sand paper (indicate grit) 600/500/400
- Super grip gloves (optional)
- Steel wool
- Rotating solder station (optional)
- Solder pick
- Acetylene torch, propane torch, or butane torch
- Quench bowl that is at least 7” long
- Soldering set up: butane, torch, solder board, tripod with mesh, pickle, fire tweezers, quench bowl, flux, copper tongs, copper solder paste, wire or chip. Note: pickle pot must be large enough for 7” bracelet shank
