Skill Level: Intermediate
Pre-requisite: Must have some soldering experience.
Class Description: Learn to create a modern pair of earrings through a series of intricate joins. This project will challenge your soldering skills and help you refine your technique.
Torch: Instructor will be demonstrating using a butane torch, however, any jewelers' torch except a MicroTorch will work.
Project Completion: Students who work quickly will finish the project during the class.
Materials Kit: Enough material for one pair of earrings (sterling silver stock, CZ). Please indicate color choice, if one is not chosen, one will be chosen for you.

Required Tools:
- Sharpie
- Chain nose pliers
- Round nose pliers or multi-looping pliers
- Flat nose pliers
- Side cutters, flush preferred
- Nylon Looping Pliers
- Brass brush (optional)
- Bench block
- Rawhide mallet or Nylon mallet
- Student files
- Needle files
- Magnifying glasses (as needed)
- Sand paper (indicate grit) 600/500/400
- Super grip gloves (optional)
- Steel wool
- Rotating solder station (optional)
- Solder pick
- Flex shaft with: brass bristle brush, polishing bits and polishing compound.
- Any jeweler's torch except Microtorch.
- Soldering set up: butane, torch, solder board, tripod with mesh, pickle, fire tweezers, quench bowl, flux, copper tongs, silver solder paste, wire or chip: Hard, Med., Easy
- Honeycomb block and pins (helpful)
