Date: Thursday, April 24, 2025, 6pm-9pm (CDT)
Instructor: Pat Evans
Skill Level: Beginner
Class Description: Make a statement with this fine silver ring that boasts a semi-precious or fused dichroic glass cabochon. Explore your creative side as you choose your own textures, accents, shapes and embellishments to make a unique ring that expresses your style. You’ll learn to expertly size rings in metal clay, how to shape, refine and finish your ring, and how to use a kiln for firing.
Project Completion: Students will have enough time to put the project together during the class, however, as this is a kiln fired project, students will work on finishing on their own. Kiln firing, setting stone, patina and polishing will be demonstrated.
Materials Kit: Enough material for one ring (fine silver metal clay (lump and syringe), fine silver bezel cup, genuine gemstone or dichroic glass cabochon, teflon strip, one time use ring size plug). Instructor will reach out after registration for stone selection and ring size.
Domestic US shipping included. (Please contact instructor directly to arrange for international or expedited shipping fees.)
(Materials kit is included in price when "Zoom/Kit combo" or "Kit only" option is selected.*)
