AJ Newell his a metalsmith, enamelist, and metal clay artist known for her sculptural approach to jewelry and love of experimentation. With a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MS from West Virginia University, she spent 20 years as a Creative Director while immersing herself in metal arts. She frequently incorporates 24K gold into her pieces and applies bold patinas to create striking contrasts. Her work has earned awards including first place in the 2021 Metal Clay Expressions exhibit and third place in 2023.
