Class Description: Self-supported beaded beads are the highlight of this beautiful bracelet. Make the beaded beads from seed beads, rounds, and faceted beads utilizing right-angle weave with a netted overlay. Then string them together with accent beads and add a clasp to complete the project.
Now that you know how to create the beaded beads, we are going to make matching earrings.
Project Completion: Students will have a good start to the project and enough information to finish on their own.
Materials Kit: Seed beads (11/0, 8/0, 15/0), fire-polish (3mm, 4mm, 8mm), round beads (6mm), beading wire, wire guards, crimp tubes, jump rings, clasp, crimp cover, ear wires, glass leaf, instructions.
Required Tools and Supplies:
- Chain nose pliers (2 pairs)
- Bead mat
- Beading needles (size 10 or 11)
- Beading thread (such as Fireline 6# or One-G
- Scissors suitable for use with your chosen thread
- Magnifiers/reading glasses (if needed)
- Task light (if needed)
