Date: Friday, Oct 23, 2026, 9am-4pm (1-hr lunch break) (CST)
Instructor: Robyn Cornelius
Skill Level: Intermediate
Class Description: Learn how to create a complex and eye-catching ring using faceted gemstones, faceted beads, and heat rivets. In this fun yet challenging project, students will fabricate a custom ring form designed to showcase decorative beadwork embellished with bronze or gold heat rivets. Students will also learn tube-setting techniques and choose to set their faceted gemstone in sterling silver, brass, or gold. A great class for students looking to expand their fabrication, stone-setting, and decorative metalworking skills.
Project Completion: Students who work quickly will have enough time to finish the project during the class time.
Torch: Instructor will be demonstrating using an acetalyne torch, however, any butane torch will work.
Materials Kit: Enough material for one ring (Sterling silver stock, gold filled wire, faceted gemstone beads, faceted round gemstone: pink tones, purple tones, blue tones, green tones, white/clear, or yellow tones).
